"American Horror Story" has continued to delight every viewer's spooky fall experience with its fresh and horrifying stories each season. A series of trailers has been released in the past few weeks, but the recently released teaser reveals what looks like the upcoming season's iconic creature.

The latest "American Horror Story" season 6 trailer shows a spooky monstrous creature crawling along a misty road. The appearance of the beast is unique and it is very different from the other monsters that the horror thriller anthology has shown in the past five seasons.

"American Horror Story" always has that one monstrous character that the viewers will certainly remember due to its distinctly terrifying descriptions. In season 1, the series introduced the viewers to the ghostly figure called the Rubber Man and the fearsome Infantata. In season 2, the Raspers of Briarcliff became the viewers' nightmare, while the third and fourth season featured the Minotaur and the murderous Twisty the Clown, respectively.

So far, the hints about season 6's theme point to the lost colony of Roanoke, Telegraph UK reported. It is based on the historical account of an immigrant who went back to Roanoke, only to discover that the people in the area have vanished.

"American Horror Story" showrunner and co-creator, Ryan Murphy, teased the contents of the upcoming season in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, as reported by Parent Herald. If the fans thought that the previous seasons of the series were twisted enough, Murphy revealed that the sixth season will be "more rogue and dark." The show's viewers might be used the usual gut-wrenching sequences, but they might be in for something even more horrifying for season 6.

Additionally, Murphy said that season 6 will have its story set in the present timeline. The story may still unfold in a dual timeline where a few sequences will show important flashbacks. This is similar to the previous seasons where the scenes jump from present to the past, then back to the present to show how the distant timelines are related to each other.

"American Horror Story" is a suspense horror anthology that features different stories and themes for each season. All seasons are not necessarily connected, although the viewers may see a few things that link one season to another. The first season titled "Murder House" featured a normal family haunted by murderous ghosts in their new house. Season 2 let the fans visit the infamous Briarcliff in "Asylum," while the third season introduced the modern-day Salem witches in New Orleans in "Coven." Season 4 injected a great dose of horror in the circus via "Freakshow," while season 5 opened the doors of the spooky Hotel Cortez, and introduced pop singer Lady Gaga as the new lead actress after Jessica Lange left the series in the fourth season.
