Android 5.0 Lollipop Download for Galaxy Note 3 on AT&T, Sprint - Latest Release News
AT&T made news recently when it released the Android Lollipop 5.0 update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, joining T-Mobile in the U.S.
Sprint is the latest U.S. carrier to begin pushing out the Lollipop update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge. Internationally, the rollout recently hit U.K., Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China and Taiwan.
The update will have Google's Material design along with a revamped notification handling and various enhancements. The update will come in at just under 1GB in size. If you have not received the updated notification, you can try checking for updates manually. Open "Settings," then go to the "General" tab, then scroll to "System Update" and tap on "Update Now."
For Galaxy Note 4, AT&T and Verizon have both joined Sprint in releasing the update for Samsung's latest flagship phablet. Canada updates will be this April, while those in India and Brazil have already received the update.
For Galaxy Note 2, the release of the update was confirmed for the Note 2 by Samsung's regional arm in the Nordic region of Europe, stating that the update will come "later in 2015" without giving a specific time frame.
For the Galaxy Note Edge, only India has received an update for the curved display phablet after the first update in Australia.
