Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 news: Galaxy S7, S7 Edge can now download beta 3 OS; special edition models excluded
The millions of users of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge should be delighted by the fact that Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 can now be downloaded for such devices. The update is already available in the United Kingdom and soon, in the United States.
It was early in November when Samsung announced that it will soon release a new version of Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. In a report by Inquisitr, owners of the flagship devices who already have registered to the Galaxy Beta Program will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 update.
This is especially true in the United Kingdom as Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users can already enjoy the perks of Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3, one of which is the capability of having a customized Quick Panel toggle, which will allow them to personalize the Quick Panel toggles according to their preferences. Furthermore, they can use the brightness slide located at the top, and can put it back to the main notification shade.
Aside from these neat features, the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 also fixes issues and bugs. Beta testers, however, will not be able to experience multiple new updates and features as these were already rolled out in the previous betas. To simply put it, Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 testers can observe what particular fixes and bugs have been repaired.
Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 can also be updated on the testers' smartphones. Testers will be able to see the button layout, button grid menu and many other improvements, as well. However, it should be noted that some special edition Galaxy S7 models are excluded from the Android 7.0 Nougat Beta 3 compatible phones.
"Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition and Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition are excluded from the program. For the U.K, the beta program is only available to users of S7 and S7 edge who have a nonoperator locked device or have purchased an open market version," the company wrote on its official website.
