Team Android wrote that ResurrectionRemix can now be utilized for Samsung Galaxy S3 to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The update comes alongside an aftersales offer so that users can further customize their handsets.

One such feature of the update is the Gesture Anywhere feature, and even the Three-Finger Swipe Screenshot gesture. Of course, the most talked-about feature of Android 7.0 Nougat is also available for Samsung Galaxy S3 — the multiwindow feature, as well as the custom Quick settings, multi-locale language settings and a whole lot more.

It has already been announced that Android Nougat will soon become available for the recent Samsung Galaxy models such as the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. A beta test is already being conducted for all registered users in selected countries, including China, United Kingdom, the United States and South Korea.

Galaxy Note 5 is the latest Note model before the controversial Galaxy Note 7. Note 5 is also expected to receive the latest Android OS, but the release date is yet to be announced. Sam Mobile reported that Samsung may be in the final stage of testing the firmware for the Note 5, as spotted on GFXBench.

However, the alleged leak has yet to be proven credible. Some believe that the leak is from a genuine source since Galaxy S6 was also seen on the same website, running on Android 7.0 Nougat as well. This may mean that spotted GFXBench leak has a high probability of being reliable.

Other Samsung models that will receive the Android Nougat update include the 2016 Galaxy A lines, but no release date is announced as well. Tech enthusiasts estimate that the update will arrive in the second quarter of 2017.
