Smartphone manufacturers from all over the world have also revealed that the software will soon arrive on various devices late this year and next year. Latest report has surfaced saying that Sony's Xperia X Performance will soon get the Android Nougat beta operating system.
The report came following an announcement from Sony itself. The company has already started to allow people from different parts of the world to sign up for the beta. Countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Italy, Iceland, Portugal, or the Netherlands are the ones who can register.
"By signing up you will be able to try a pre-released beta version of the Android 7.0 (Nougat) [software]," Sony explained in a report by Tech Buffalo. "Most importantly, you will also have an open channel with Sony Mobile's developers. Your feedback will enable us to release even better software for your Xperia device."
Users that are lucky enough to get the Beta Program will soon receive a notification that their device will be getting the software. According to reports, Sony will soon make an announcement for the update's roll out details. People are advised to sign up as soon as possible because there are only limited slots being offered by the Japanese electronics company.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena reported that the pre-released version of the Android Nougat might not be as flawless as people expect it to be. There are reports suggesting that the full version of the new Google operating system will come out in the next couple of months. It is also expected to debut on the company's newest flagship device, the Google Nexus 2016.
However, nothing has been set in stone yet. Fans are still waiting for Google to provide the official details of the release.
