Android 7.1.1 Nougat news: now available for selected devices; see the list here!
It has been on the news that Android 7.1.1 Nougat will be released for Nexus, Android One and Google Pixel devices and users could only wait until the update is rolled out to their respective devices. Now that Android 7.1.1 Nougat has come out, here are ways on how to install it via over-the-air means.
A lot of Google Pixel, Android One and Nexus users have been anticipating the availability of Android 7.1.1 Nougat and now that it has arrived, many are wondering how to go about it.
Installing the update is just easy as 1-2-3. A notification will be sent to the user's device with an option to update to the Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Users will just need to select "Yes, I'm in" and follow the instructions thereafter.
Once the software update is downloaded into the device, choose "Install now" and it will begin its process of getting the Android 7.1.1 Nougat running in the device. The device will automatically restart and once it started, the phone is already updated.
It is good to know, however, that the over-the-air (OTA) is released in a gradual phase so it may take a few weeks before the users are able to get the update for their devices. Otherwise, users can just manually install the update by accessing their handset's Settings, go to About Phone, click System Update and check for the new update.
For those asking which specific devices are to be rolled out with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, here's a list of the devices:
