Android N, Google Nexus 2016 to be available in third quarter this year?
With mobile phones constantly getting upgrades and facing changes, the need to stay relevant has never been more important. This rings true even for known tech giants like Google.
Google has hinted at a release of their flagship phone, the Google Nexus 2016. And if the rumors are any indication, it could launch around the third quarter for the year, along with a new Android OS, the Android 7.0 or "Nutella."
Recently, Google released the Android N Developer Preview 4, which has been met with much praise. And with the company's advanced software, people are now hoping that it will also release a new handheld device soon.
This is their fourth preview of Android N, with the other previews done earlier in the year. Many are suggesting that another preview will arrive by July, with the samples continuing throughout the year until the operating system is ready to be unveiled.
Hiroshi Lockheimer, senior vice president of Android, recently tweeted an image of him tinkering around their new product, with some hints of Android N being nicknamed "Nutella" because of the screenshots he has.
According to 9 to 5 Google, a notable feature that Android N has is that they can show emojis in the symbols keyboard by simply turning on the preferences setting.
At the moment, the Developer Preview 4 shows the most recent Android OS in level 24, with more developments underway before the final product can be displayed.
There is no doubt that Android N and the next Google Nexus phone are still far from their final stages, but knowing that there are a lot of new things coming out to excite people can only make them more eager to get their hands on the finished product.
