Apple iWatch Release Date Coming Early 2015; Will Change the Wearables Market

YouTube

Apple announced on September 9 that its very first smartwatch will be out in "early 2015."

On its unveiling, the giant tech company called the new wearable product as simply the Apple Watch instead of its media-given name, the iWatch. The Apple Watch has a premium design with rounded-off corners and can work with any iOS 8 iPhone.

Being seamlessly encased by custom alloys of stainless steel and aluminum, the watch is said to be able to withstand the ordeals of daily use.

The high tech watch pops out application notifications, updates and new messages. It has a rotating dial on the side, called the digital crown, to enable zooming in or out and rotation through different applications.

Apple Watch also has a Siri Voice control which addresses some of the inconvenience of working with the small screen. Other features of the watch are its NFC chip which enables a contactless payment service and its Apple Health Kit which is capable of registering the user's heart rate.

Since it is intended to be a fashionable technology, the Apple Watch gives its users the hand to personalize its look with 11 various watch faces and more to come in the store.

Men and women can choose from Apple Watch, Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Sport. All three variants are available in 38 mm and 42 mm sizes, respectively.

Apple has not yet given any official date for the sale of the Apple Watch, just that it will be early next year.
