Apple Watch 2 release date rumors and news: 'Pokemon Go' playable on next gen Apple smartwatch?
While the whole tech industry is still focusing on the recent release of Apple's seventh-generation iPhone smartphone, several fans are looking forward to the new Apple Watch 2. According to reports, the second gen Apple tech watch will carry impressive specs and feature that were absent in the original wearable device. What's even more interesting is the fact that "Pokemon Go" fans can even play the popular game on the amazing smart watch.
The new Apple Watch 2 is certainly living up to its expectation. The device has an improved waterproofing technology, which can survive while being submerged underwater up to a depth of 50 meters. However, the company suggests not pushing the new tech watch to the limits as it also has its limitations.
According to a report by Tech Radar, Apple Watch 2 has a new feature that records swimming laps and progress. The highly anticipated device has a GPS feature that can record the users' runs and will be shown on the display panel. Apparently, Apple fans no longer need an iPhone to help them track their daily run.
Although the new Apple Watch 2 looks quite similar to its predecessor except for its brighter display panel, the device is actually faster and more efficient because of its new processor.
Meanwhile, iTech Post reported that Apple Watch 2 users will be able to play "Pokemon Go" on the device as it will act the similar to "Pokemon Go Plus." According to John Hanke, Niantic CEO, the "Pokemon Go" feature will be a great advantage for players who have Apple Watch 2. Although Apple Watch users will still need to have an iPhone to play the game, the feature will give them an edge since egg hatching and hunting monsters are now made easier through the new tech watch.
The new Apple Watch 2 will finally come out on Sept. 16. Interested buyers can start the preorder now. The device is available with a higher price tag compared to its predecessor at $369.
