With the Apple Watch being one of the most popular wearable technologies on the market today, many are eagerly anticipating the second version to hit the market.

Thus, it is no surprise that there has been a lot of buzz regarding the release date of the Apple Watch 2. In addition, there have been plenty of other speculations or rumors surrounding the device â€” from the price to the specifications to what it has to offer.

So far, there have been varying pieces of information being circulated about the successor to the Apple Watch. One came from an Apple analyst named Brian White, who works for Wall Street firm Drexel Hamilton. White claimed that the new watch would be thinner by up to 20 to 40 percent compared to the current version.

However, this was in contrast to another prediction from Ming Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities known for his often accurate tech predictions. He claimed that the successor to the Apple Watch may not look that different from the first Apple Watch.

In fact, Kuo believed that the Apple Watch 2 will do the same as Apple has done with their phones, adding an "S" feature that still looks the same, but will have different things to offer.

As for the hardware and some new features of the Apple Watch 2, the biggest news so far is that the new Watch will be able to support FaceTime chatting, as it's being suited with a camera that could also record videos if needed.

As for the software, Apple officially unveiled the WatchOS 3 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) as an obvious upgrade to the one available on the Apple Watch.

One thing that they made a point of is that the Apple Watch can perform much faster with the new OS as compared to what it had initially offered.

There are also new features that relate to fitness, making the Apple Watch a complete companion for the busy professional.

These are only a few of the many new features of the Apple Watch and WatchOS 3, so stay tuned for more updates.
