'Arrow' season 5 episode 12 spoilers, latest news: Oliver Queen returns to Russia in 'Bratva'
The CW has recently released a promo teaser for the upcoming 12th episode of the fifth season of "Arrow." Spoilers about the forthcoming episode have also been surfacing.
In season 5 episode 11, the team tracks down a meta to become the new Black Canary. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), on the other hand, rediscovers her hacktivist roots. In the past, Oliver (Stephen Amell) received help from Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig) in his quest to take down Kovar. In exchange, Talia asked Oliver to allow her to help him deal with the monster within.
The upcoming 12th episode of "Arrow" season 5, titled "Bratva," will reportedly reveal Oliver's connection to the Russian mafia organization Bratva. According to a synopsis published by Spoiler TV, a mission will bring Oliver, Felicity, and the rest of the team to Russia where they meet up with one of Oliver's old friends, Anatoly (guest star David Nykl).
As reported by Yibada, in the DC comics, Anatoly is one of the leaders of a powerful Russian organization called Solntsevskaya Bratva. Oliver was anointed as one of its premiere members after saving Anatoly from an enemy.
In the promo teaser released by The CW, it also looks like Tina (Juliana Harkavy), a.k.a. Dina Drake, will be tagging along with Oliver in the overseas trip to Russia. From then on, the situation gets even more and more complicated as they get entangled with Oliver's old world in the Russian mafia.
Meanwhile, after his stint in rehab, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is ready to get back to work and return to the mayor's office. However, he balks when Susan (guest star Carly Pope) asks him for an interview to discuss his addiction. That leaves everything to Rene (guest star Rick Gonzales) to ensure that everything remains on track.
Season 5 episode 12 of "Arrow" is directed by Ben Bray and is written by Oscar Balderrama and Emilio Ortega Aldrich.
