'Attack on Titan' season 2 air date, plot news: Eren to have new powers?
The second installment of "Attack on Titan" has been finally given a launch date, and it is anticipated that it will not deviate from the storyline in the manga series. Meanwhile, Eren might be having new powers in "Attack on Titan" season 2.
"Attack on Titan" season 2 is slated to premiere on Saturday, April 1, Funimation confirmed. After confirming its release date, a preview for season 2 also debuted, showing that Wall Rose has been breached and that more Titans will be coming.
There are speculations that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will follow the story of the "Clash of Titans" manga arc based on what was shown in the preview, but there has been no confirmation yet.
Meanwhile, Eren will be having new powers in "Attack on Titan" season 2.
"Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest — a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!" the synopsis that was posted on Blastr reads.
Back in season 1 of "Attack on Titan," which ended in 2013, Eren has developed the ability to change into a Titan whenever he pleases. However, even though Eren takes the form of a Titan, he is unlike the others that do nothing but eat the human population. Eren maintains his humanity even when he is formed as a Titan, and he can continue to act and think like a normal human being.
Although, other than this ability, it appears that Eren will have a new set of powers in season 2. There are no details yet regarding Eren's new powers and how he will be able to develop them.
