Fans have been waiting for the anime for three years now. The first season ended back in September 2013. Fortunately, there were games and other media that helped fans get by.
"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to follow the manga by Hajime Isayama just like the first season, which is the biggest reason that the anime is loved.
This suggests that fans will get to see some epic titan battles and game-changing changes and eve deaths. The manga has been particularly brutal and revealing in the latest chapters.
Spoiler Alert! The following contains spoilers for the "Attack on Titan" manga and the anime. Proceed with caution.
If "Attack on Titan" season 2 will get to these story arcs, fans should prepare for the demise of Erwin Smith and Armin cheating death, both of which are connected.
During their fight against the biggest Titans around, Erwin and Armin are both injured badly. The remaining Survey Corps members were divided on who will get to be saved through the serum.
In the end, it was Armin who got a second chance at life. His survival meant for Erwin to die so he was given the task to step up and contribute more to show that the team made the right choice in keeping him.
It will certainly be amazing to see this in "Attack on Titan" season 2 as well as the latest revelations from the manga's most recent chapters.
Isayama has dropped major bombs in chapter 85 and 85 of the manga involving the secrets of Eren's father Grisha, which in turn revealed the origins of the Titan, the existence of humans outside the walls, and the tragic past of the Yeager patriarch.
With all this source material at the ready, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be the most exciting ad bloodiest run of the anime yet.
