'Attack on Titan' season 2 will explore the Titans' origin?
After a mind-blowing cliffhanger last season, "Attack on Titan" season 2 is back with a vengeance, despite the fact that, for some time, no word came out regarding the continuation of the story. Yet, recent information is now available about the eagerly awaited installment: The Survey Corps is stopping at nothing to uncover what they can about the origins of the titans.
The upcoming season will feature the survival teams and soldiers who are devoted to this task. Thanks to a leaked trailer video, eager fans have taken a peek into what to expect from the seemingly exciting season.
Followers of the story fervently hope that some of the Survey Corps members reach Eren's home without Levi's help to uncover the circumstances around Eren's transformation as well as his father's part in the affair.
"Attack on Titan's" most recent three-minute trailer shows Hange walking ahead of her team when a titan's face appears through a breach in the wall. This is not the first time this happened, so Hange is more surprised than frightened and proceeds to lead her team into capturing the titan.
She then questions Pastor Nick about the matter of the titan having gained access through the wall and is told to kill the titan quickly.
Hange later asks the pastor more about the titan after it is killed, but the leader avoids giving her a direct response. The pastor's tight-lipped attitude only makes Hange mistrustful of him and his motivations as well as more curious about the identity of the titan which their group killed.
It is also rumored that the second season of "Attack on Titan" will feature new characters, including the Military Police Brigade's Captain Kenny Ackerman of the First Interior Squad who will be tasked with the security of the King.
The King of Mankind, Uri Reiss, is considering his daughter Frieda as heir to his throne, even though Rod is still alive.
Beast Titan is another character expected to appear in the new season. He is more cunning than Colossal Titan and is able to lead and command other titans in an attack.
"Attack on Titan" season 2 is reportedly for release early in 2017.
