'Avengers: Infinity War' cast news and rumors: Vin Diesel confirms 'Guardians of the Galaxy' feature in 'Infinity War'
The "Avengers" and the "Guardians of the Galaxy" will officially cross into each other's world in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War." In a recent video reveal on his Facebook page, "Fast and Furious" actor Vin Diesel announced some exciting updates to his other film projects other than the eighth installment of the hugely successful car-and-stunts movie he has starred.
After expressing gratitude to his more than 100 million Facebook fans for their unflinching support to the "Fast and Furious" franchise, Diesel confirmed his casting participation in the upcoming "Avengers" entry.
"Now, the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that's incredibly exciting. You were told before everybody," the baritone Diesel said in his 30-minute-long Facebook Live video. "That whole concept started from you all saying, 'When are you going to be in a Marvel movie?' "
Diesel did not elaborate his Facebook Live reveal and representatives from the Marvel productions team are tight-lipped on the matter. To build the excitement prior to the movie's slated May 4, 2018, screen release, directorial brothers Joe and Anthony Russo try to keep plot details under tight wraps.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Diesel will reprise his "Guardians of the Galaxy" role again as the humanoid Groot alongside fellow GOTG cast members Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, and Zoe Saldana.
Meanwhile, Diesel is also set to reappear in the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" standalone film scheduled for big screen release in May next year per Independent report. In addition, the actor is also wrapping up his filming role for "Fast and Furious 8" which is also slated to premiere in 2017. Diesel reportedly had a beef with fellow cast member Dwayne Johnson (Agent Hobbs) in an onset conflict that caused the former wrestling sensation to express outrage on Facebook. The two seemed to have already patched up their differences, some reports say.
