Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Josh Brolin knows all about the plot for the upcoming two-part "Avengers: Infinity War" and has some interesting words for it.

During a recent press tour for the home release of the film "Hail, Caesar!" (2016), Brolin, who plays the mega-villain Thanos in the MCU, told Digital Spy that "Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo have revealed the story to him and that he was "utterly blown away" by it.

"I literally can't say one word about it, but it's an incredible story," the actor said. "There's no script yet, but I do know the story inside and out and it's an amazing story. I sat at a table and listened to the story and was completely and utterly blown away."

While no one outside of the "Infinity Wars" cast and crew have any idea about what will happen in the film, it is probably safe to assume that Thanos will be wreaking havoc on his mission to collect all of the Infinity Stones, including the one on Vision's (Paul Bettany) forehead.

Though it remains unclear what Thanos' main goal is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in the Marvel Comics, the super villain is intent on ending all life in the Universe to impress Mistress Death, his one true love.

Last month, "Infinity War" screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely spoke about the purple-skinned villain's role in the third "Avengers" film.

"He'll do lots of dastardly things," McFeely told Cinema Blend. "I'm not saying he's not a challenge. He is, because he's got so much power, but I guess find the, I'm using this in quotes, 'the human underneath,' but we'll have the opportunity because he'll have a lot of scenes."

Markus added that as with any other character, viewers will learn more about Thanos not only as a villain but as a complete entity.

The tentatively titled "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" is slated for a May 4, 2018 release. "Avengers: Infinity War - Part II" will hit theaters May 3, 2019.
