'Avengers: Infinity War' release date, plot news, rumors: Filming has reportedly begun

"Avengers: Infinity War" will not hit the cinemas until 2018, but leaked photos suggest that filming for the highly-anticipated superhero ensemble movie has already begun.

Atlanta Filming, a well-placed photographer who has been a reliable source for set photos on upcoming films, has shared a photo taken from the set of the film on Twitter, but it appears to have been taken down.

The image was captioned, "I think I forgot to post this, but ["Avengers: Infinity War"] started filming two weeks ago."

He also shared a couple more tweets about the production. "This is what I know: Some cast is here. Part 1 started on the 7th. Almost 0% chance I will get photos that don't look like Lego people," he tweeted.

The photographer then added that he knows a lot more than" what he wants to reveal about "Avengers: Infinity War," but he decided against dropping some spoilers

Marvel Studios beginning the filming for the movie this early has many wondering. However, with all the big stars coming together for the film, scheduling will be a challenge.

This is reportedly why "Avengers: Infinity War" filming has already begun. MoviePilot even surmises that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" gang are already doing theirs.

As fans know, it was announced that the cast is back in Atlanta to do some reshoots for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

MoviePilot that they could be doing double duty and are filming their part for "Avengers: Infinity War." It is to be noted that for pre-production, Joe and Anthony Russo are also in Atlanta.

Majority of the stars believed to be in "Avengers: Infinity War" are not expected to film their scenes until next year.

This suggests that the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" cast returning to Atlanta and the "Avengers: Infinity War" already underway, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and company's part of the movie might be being shot already.
