Batman: Arkham Knight Bundle Release Date: Pre-Order of New Game Offers Limited Edition Bundle

The video game "Batman: Arkham Knight" just got a limited edition bundle from Sony and it is already available for pre-order online.

The bundled edition was announced recently accompanied by news that PlayStation 4 users would get a special DLC that will be exclusive to the device.

The limited edition bundle route is being taken by Sony to put the spotlight on "Batman: Arkham," the last game in the series which became a major hit after it was launched. Included in the limited edition PlayStation 4 bundle priced at $499 will be a PS4 in Steel Grey sporting a custom faceplate from the game "Batman: Arkham Knight." Also included is a DualShock 4 wireless controller also in Steel Grey. The bundle is topped off with the upcoming game.

The bundle also has a standard edition which has a lower price tag of $399. This bundle features a different PS4 system in black, a matching DualShock 4 controller and the game itself.

The vice president of Platforms Marketing John Koller made the announcement of the bundle on the PlayStation blog.

With the two bundles, Sony is undoubtedly trying to attract more customers to its PS4 console. The Sony announcement pointed out that those taking advantage of the offer to upgrade to the latest generation console will also get a bonus content for the game before this appears on any other console such as the Xbox One. The bonus content will also be available to existing users of the PS4 who are planning to buy the game.

The bonus content would reportedly be in the form of additional missions in the game and skins such as the "Justice League 3000 Batman skin or the Batman Classic TV Series Batman and Batmobile skins."

The game itself was earlier reported to be due for release on June 2. But Sony later extended the release date by 21 more days. It is now due for release on June 23.
