The special remastered edition of the previous "Batman" game titles is expected to be released this year. "Batman: Return to Arkham" was supposed to be released earlier this year, but some issues caused the game to be delayed further. Earlier reports suggested that the game will be released in November, although according to the latest trailer video, the fans may not need to wait that long.

According to Yibada, "Batman: Return to Arkham" will be released on Oct. 18. There were problems that both Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros encountered in the past few months in porting the older contents of the previous game to the latest generation of home consoles. Specifically, Virtuos Studios which is responsible for the HD remastering of the older "Arkham" game titles, have suffered from frame-rate drop issues while porting to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. To note, Virtuos Studios is also the one behind the remastered versions of Final Fantasy X|X-3 HD" and "Heavy Rain."

"Batman: Return to Arkham" is a collection of video game titles based on the popular DC superhero, including the two "Arkham" titles, "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City." As these video games were released before the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, they have to be remastered and coverted to the current console version. All of the DLC packs included in these games will also be present in "Return to Arkham," from augmented reality (AR) gameplay to special character costumes.

Polygon reported that the updating to the new PS4 technology made the color in the previous game titles brighter, and the surfaces having greater definitions. It is also noticeable in the latest teaser video for "Batman: Return to Arkham" that the characters' appearance in the game has become more detailed, as what was seen in the enchanced appearance of Penguin in the trailer.

"Batman: Return to Arkham" was first announced back in May and was supposed to be released last July. It will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
