'Batman: Return to Arkham' update: New trailer revealed for remastered version of 'Arkham' series
When Rocksteady first announced that it would be remastering the "Arkham" series, fans weren't really impressed with the released footage, and they even claimed that the original still looked a lot better. This led Rocksteady to put the remaster on hold till they got the game right. The developers recently launched a new trailer and reception is more positive this time around.
The trailer included snippets from both "Arkham Asylum" and "Arkham City" and it also made a comparison between the originals and the remastered editions. One very noticeable difference was the colors on The Joker seemed a lot brighter than that of the original versions.
Initially, some fans have pointed out that the remaster will be running on Unreal Engine 4 and they said that for some reason, it will improve some parts of the game. At the same time, this will make a lot of other elements look worse. A side-by-side comparison of Hugo Strange in the PS3 was made with the PS4 version and the former had a lot more detail in the character's look.
The new trailer, however, has a lot more fans feeling positive about the release, but audiences will just have to wait for more reviews to pop up online to know if the game is truly worthwhile.
The good news is that "Batman: Return to Arkham" will come with all of the DLC (downloadable content) packs that have been released for the games before, so fans who missed out on them back then will have a chance to get them now. They'll be able to get their hands on DLC packs like the Catwoman, Nightwing, and Robin Bundles, as well as the story bundle for "Harley Quinn's Revenge."
"Batman: Return to Arkham" is now available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
