Battlefield Hardline Beta Release Date: Launch Excites Gamers, Draws Rave Reviews

FACEBOOK

Ever since it made its way into consoles and PCs last Feb. 3, the beta version of Battlefield Hardline has been getting rave reviews, particularly from those who were not impressed by Battlefield 4.

Fans are talking about the Easter eggs that are launched when some players reload their weapons.

News of the Easter eggs originated from Reddit and was soon picked up by those who had downloaded the beta version, which is available for free until Feb. 8. As part of the Easter Eggs, people are presented with special animations when they reload their weapons. However, these animations do not turn up every time but only rarely.

PC Gamer reported that there is one chance in 10,000 that players will see them.

Eventually a video of some of the animations was posted online. Following which the creative director of the game hosted a question and answer session with Tony Gialdini, the animation director of Battlefield Hardline, and discussed the animations.

Those who have tried out the latest version of Battlefield Hardline said it is a major improvement on the beta version released in June last year. Some even pointed out that the current game is as real as previous versions which concentrated on gameplay in warzones.

One reason being provided for the release of Battlefield Hardline Beta is that Visceral Games studio wants to get more feedback from fans and then incorporate it into the game in the hopes of making it more popular. There will be more beta tests down the line before the game is officially released in March.

Gamerant noted that Visceral is also encouraging users on YouTube to provide their feedback through a "Game Changers" program it has launched on its website.

As for the beta itself, it is available for free and no invitations are required. Those who are interested can just download it without having to pre-order the actual game.
