'Beauty and the Beast' season 4 spoilers: Husband and wife go after a bounty hunter as Cat gets embroiled in underground blood sport
Season 4 may be "Beauty and the Beast's" swan song, but it seems unlikely that Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) would achieve the normalcy they want for their wedded life. After all, they have been through a lot over the years, and they obviously want nothing more than to sit down, catch their breath, and do some serious self-retrospection.
However, normal is not something this husband-and-wife team could ever enjoy to the full even if they try their best, not while danger looms over their life like a canopy. It seems the two were born to take on drama and face attackers on a near-regular basis. The most they can do is balance their dangerous life together with a semblance of normalcy so they can enjoy wedded bliss.
Last week's episode titled "Beast Interrupted" saw Vincent and Cat discovering that a bounty hunter has been let loose to take Vincent and expose his secrets. A huge $5 million bounty was placed on Vincent's head, and both husband and wife realized that this threat to Vincent's identity would eventually lead to disastrous consequences.
This is exactly what happens when they learn that the one pursuing Vincent is actually involved in blood sport. Going after the predator would lead the two to an underground fight den where Cat, most probably as a ruse to catch Vincent's hunter, would be thrown into a competition cage to fight for survival.
Apparently, Cat wouldn't fare well, and it's expected that a hurt Cat normally enrages Vincent. Thursday's episode 3 titled "Down for the Count" would be interesting to watch to see if both husband and wife could escape the fight den in one piece. It would even be worth anticipating if Cat's stint in the competition cage would affect the possible surprise she has waiting for her in episode 4.
"Beauty and the Beast" season 4 episode 3 will air on The CW at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16.
