Best kids' Christmas toys 2016 latest news: Walmart shares top 5 toy gifts for kids this Christmas
Christmas is essentially a time for giving. And for kids, it's also a time for receiving. Although for parents and many adults, figuring out what presents to give children for Christmas can be a real challenge.
Because no one really knows exactly what toys kids would like as Christmas presents, Walmart solicited the expertise of the kids themselves to pick out the best toys for the holiday season. Walmart polled hundreds of children aged between 18 months up to 12 years and came up with a list of 25 top holiday toys that kids would like.
In doing so, Walmart teamed up with the TV show "Good Morning America" and toy expert Jordan Hembrough to unveil five items out of the 25 top holiday toys chosen by children.
As seen on GMA, five of the best Christmas toys for kids include My Little Pony Explore Equestria Crystal Empire Castle, Paw Patrol Zoomer Marshall, Fur Real Friends Balzin Dragon, Vtech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Treasure Mountain Train Adventure, and the Hasbro Smart R2-D2 Droid.
Meanwhile, Mirror came up with their own list of tech toys and gadgets to give children for Christmas. Included in the list are Hatchimals, which are mechanical robot creatures that are hatched from an egg and that can evolve as kids play with them. Also included is the Nerf Mega Mastodon, dubbed as the "biggest and baddest Nerf gun" yet.
The Furby Connect also made it to the list. The 90's favorite toy now has over 150 expressions, thanks to the Furby Connect World app which is accessible by use of tablets and phones. The app also contains games and videos that are supposed to work with the toy.
CHiP, the Robot Dog, was also included in the list. CHiP is designed as an intelligent and affectionate robot puppy. Built with advanced sensors and smart accessories, the robot dog's behavior is shaped by how its owner responds to it. Hence, no two ChiPs are ever alike.
Finding gifts for kids can be tricky, and with the high demand for the best toys this Christmas, adults should finish their holiday shopping as early as possible.
