'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers: 'Breaking Bad' characters to appear
Fans will be treated to an exciting season 3 of "Better Call Saul." Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) will find herself in a moral quandary next season but may finally yield to the dark side. Meanwhile, "Breaking Bad" characters are expected to make a cameo, perhaps Bryan Cranston as well, although he was being considered for a directorial role.
Wexler will be up to no good in the upcoming season of the AMC crime drama series. Last season, she started showing her propensity toward thinking up bold and sly schemes, much in the same way Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) does. Next season she will face a moral quandary and may even yield eventually to the dark side. She may partner up with McGill, aka Saul Goodman, and the two of them could get a business established between them, something Saul Goodman would approve of.
Seehorn admitted in an interview with Deadline that she has no idea what the writers have in store for her character next season. She shared her excitement though about where Wexler's story would go.
As for the season 3 storyline, the actress shared, "There's a lot of leeway with where they could go. I can only presume that it's also on the table for them to do scenes that happen during 'Breaking Bad' years in some fashion."
Speaking of "Breaking Bad," more of its characters are said to be making a cameo in the show, including Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt), Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).
Although McGill is far from his total transformation into the cunning Goodman, he may have some dealings with these characters next season, as he eventually transforms and assumes his new identity.
Another actor and former "Breaking Bad" cast member expressed his desire to reprise his role in the next installment of "Better Call Saul." Bryan Cranston has appeared as Walter White in the earlier seasons of the show, but he shared on "The Rich Eisen Show" that he was willing to do whatever show creator, Vince Gilligan, and writer, Peter Gould, would want him to do.
"If they were to call me and say, 'We have this idea, we'd like...' I would say, 'Yes, you don't have to finish the pitch. I'm there, what do you want me to do?'"
Cranston did get the call, but it was for him to direct an episode on the show, something he is hesitant to do. A directorial bid would reveal to him much of the story's secrets behind the scenes, something Cranston believes would "kill it" for him as a fan. The actor is still mulling over the idea and has not made a decision.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 premiere date has not been announced, but the series is said to be back in the winter of 2017.
