'Better Call Saul' season 3 release date, spoilers news: New episodes to arrive 'ASAP,' Jesse Pinkman of 'Breaking Bad' ready to return
Fans can't get enough of "Better Call Saul" even though the successful sophomore run of the series just wrapped up last month. Part of the excitement was the prospect of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) returning into the fold.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 can't come sooner to fans. Realistically, new episodes of the "Breaking Bad" spinoff will be released next year.
But Patrick Fabian, who plays Howard Hamlin in "Better Call Saul," promises that they are doing their best to bring Saul (Bob Odenkirk) and the crew back to the small screen as soon as possible.
"We'll get season 3 done for you ASAP," Hamlin tweeted to a fan who expressed his longing for "Better Call Saul." Fans fervently hope that this will translate into something more concrete.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to bring in more characters from "Breaking Bad," specifically the ones who contributed to Jimmy McGill's evil transformation.
Apart from Gus, who was clearly the man behind the note on Mike's (Jonathan Banks) car windshield in the "Better Call Saul" season 2 finale, there are reports pertaining to more "Breaking Bad" appearances.
One of the most awaited guest stints is that of Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), who introduced Walter White (Bryan Cranston) to Saul Goodman, further leading the latter to the path of no good.
Paul has already said he is open to the idea, although nothing is concrete yet, just hopes and possibilities. "Hopefully I will be involved," Paul told Variety early this year.
"But I don't know when that may be. I'm not going to say anything more. But I'm absolutely open to the idea. Hopefully it happens. I'm all about it," he continued.
Paul is currently busy with his new Hulu series "The Path." However, if AMC seals the deal fast and brings the actor back in, Jesse Pinkman in "Better Call Saul" season 3 will be a real treat to fans.
The network might also be taking time for his appearance since Jesse Pinkman is a more vital part of the story and is an entryway to bigger storylines that "Better Call Saul" hasn't come to just yet.
For now, the focus is on the eventual appearance of Gus Fring. His return won't be immediate though and it possibly won't happen until the finale of "Better Call Saul" season 3.
