Around 100 people staged a protest outside a theater in Denver on Saturday as Bill Cosby, accused of sexual assault by at least 15 women, performed back-to-back shows.

Demonstrators chanted ""Rape is not a joke!" and "No means no!" as the embattled comedian entertained the audience, who greeted him with a standing ovation and cheered, "We love you Bill!"

They also held signs that read, "If you support Cosby you support rape" and "Colorado believes the women," according to a report by CNN.

"This is our city and we do not stand with him. We stand with the women," Beth Leyba said, as quoted by the news network. "I, myself, am a survivor of sexual assault and I just find it sickening that Bill Cosby has been able to get away with this for so many years."

Among the protesters was lawyer Gloria Allred, who represents eight of the women Cosby allegedly abused, including Beth Ferrier, 55, from Denver.

"Many people are empowered and who are here today, and I'm not going to live in fear of fame and money and power and Bill Cosby. And we're not going to let this go away and be silent in the face of what we believe is injustice. Those days are long gone," Allred was quoted as saying.

Allred called a news conference before the first of the 77-year-old comedian's two performances, in which Ferrier said Cosby put drugs in her coffee when she went to see one of his shows in Denver.

Ferrier said the next thing she remembered was waking up hours later in her car "practically naked."

Ferrer went public in 2005, claiming she met Cosby and had a brief affair with him when she was a model visiting New York, CBS Denver reported.

Cosby has denied the allegations from different women through his lawyer. He has never been charged with a crime.
