Blackberry Android 2016 release date, specs rumors: 3 new Android devices to be released in 2017?
Blackberry may have lost its place in the smartphone market these days but the company has remained positive as they said to be preparing to announce three new Android handsets in 2017.
The Canadian tech company has been struggling to compete with other manufacturers in the market today. The release of their first Android phone has been reported to have flopped miserably. However, that doesn't stop them from planning to release another device, which could give them the chance to reclaim their glory days in the business.
In a report by Venture Beat, BlackBerry will launch three devices next year. Dubbed as Neon, Argon and Mercury, all three of them are said to come out with impressive specs and features to compete with other makers.
According to the latest reports, the first smartphone to be revealed is going to be the Blackberry Neon. The device is said to target the mid-range market once it arrives. It will sport a 5.2-inch display with 1080 resolution. The reports added that the handset will no longer carry the trademark Blackberry keyboard. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 617 processor from Qualcomm to be paired with 3 GB of RAM. The device will also carry 16 GB internal storage capacity; however, there is still no report if it will be expandable using a MicroSD card.
Other features of the device include a 2610 mAh QuickCharge 2.0-supported battery, a 13MP rear snapper, and an 8MP selfie shooter. If rumors prove to be true, the device will come out between July and August next year.
Meanwhile, the Blackberry Argon is said to be released in October 2017. The device is said to carry a 5.5 inches display with a Quad HR resolution system. On the other, the BlackBerry Mercury is said to be launch by the end of 2017.
Although the company has yet to provide official details with regard to these reports, industry observers believe that 2017 will be a good year for Blackberry.
