More details have emerged about the upcoming "Blindspot" season 2.

In June, it was announced that "The Good Wife" alum Archie Panjabi was boarding the NBC crime drama. Panjabi is taking on the role of Naz Kamal, the head of an NSA secret division. Kamal, who has been following the Jane Doe case since the beginning, will be a key role in the case going forward.

During the Television Critics Association's (TCA) summer press tour, Panjabi spoke about her "Blindspot" character, saying, "You will have to watch the series to see if there is any mystery or what the character is."

"I really like the character," she added. "She is tough. She is tenacious. She is wild. She's unpredictable," Panjabi continued.

During the show's TCA panel, showrunner Martin Gero also hinted at Kamal's role in the "Blindspot" world, saying that the character will act as a "soothing balm" to the team following the dissolution of Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) relationship in season 1.

Gero also dropped some major details about the upcoming second season of "Blindspot."

"Not only are you going to find out Jane's first name in the first episode, you're going to find out what Orion is, who Shepherd is, what's the plan of this organization, who Jane really is outside of her name," the "Blindspot" boss said during the TCA panel.

Gero also said that while season 1 focused on Jane Doe, season 2 will revolve around something completely different.

Meanwhile, Alexander recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her character's state of mind in season 2, suggesting that there will be bad blood between Jane and the team.

"She feels that the team pretty much gave her to the CIA and she's been beaten everyday for three months straight," the actress said.

"Blindspot" season 2 is set to debut on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 10 p.m. ET. It will move to its regular time slot on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
