'Blindspot' season 2 episode 11 spoilers: FBI, CIA team up to stop terrorist attack; Patterson to seek revenge on Borden
Patterson (Ashley Johnson) is back where she rightfully belongs, but there are still dangers lurking at her heels, if not in her mind.
After the midseason finale of NBC's action-thriller series "Blindspot" left her life on the line, the show's first episode back 2017 quickly picked up where it left off just as promised. Patterson got shot and taken to Shepherd's where she was tortured for information and very nearly met her end before Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and the rest of their team came to her rescue.
Even though it may seem like she has rather quickly jumped back up on her feet, the torture she experienced in the hands of Shepherd (Michelle Hurd), coupled with Nigel, aka Dr. Borden's (Ukweli Roach) betrayal, has had deep ramifications to her emotional stability, as teased by executive producer Martin Gero in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. The after-effects of her experience, plus her inherent nature of drowning herself in the job to delay having to face a possible emotional breakdown, will lead Patterson to seek revenge.
In another interview with ETOnline, Gero shared that Weller's significant role in Phase 2 of Sandstorm's grand plans will gradually be revealed as each episode brings the viewers closer to the answers. He also shared that Roman will play a central part in season 2B's storyline, which Gero described as "the most satisfying 13 episodes of 'Blindspot' we've ever done."
The season will be pulling the lid off of Sandstorm's end game, but before that, Weller and his team will first have to contend with one of the most wanted terrorists in "Blindspot" season 2 episode 11 titled "Droll Autumn, Unmutual Lord." The episode will feature the FBI and the CIA putting aside their differences and teaming up to stop a deadly terrorist bombing in New York.
The next episode of "Blindspot," which teases another potentially shocking revelation, will airs on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
