Netflix has yet to announce whether it will be renewing its family drama thriller "Bloodline" for season 3, but it has not cancelled the show either, so fans are just waiting eagerly for some official word on the future of the series.

Despite the uninspiring bit of news, Linda Cardellini, who starred in the previous seasons of the show as Meg Rayburn, as well as series co-creator Glenn Kessler have given their views on what it could be like if there would be a third run for the show.

Cardellini said, "I can't wait to see if and how my mother gets brought into the truth, and what that says for all of our relationships and alliances."

She added that, given that there would be a season 3, she had no idea whatsoever what her next scene would hold for her or the lines she would have, but she believed that if the third season would pick up where her character left off, it would be a "moment of truth" to Meg.

Cardellini speculated on the possible storyline, if Sally is told the truth of what her children have done. It could either be that mother and daughter would be at odds and fight with each other, or that they could unite and together deal with everybody else at odds against them. Cardellini went on to say that Sally would need to come to a decision whether to protect her children or to "turn against them."

Fans who viewed the season 2 finale would remember that Meg had been on the verge of telling her mother, Sally Rayburn (Sissy Spacek), about the secret the Rayburn siblings have been keeping from her. The second season, however, closed with that cliffhanger ending. It is possible that a third season may pursue that development of their mother–daughter relationship.

One sure thing is that, even if "Bloodline" season 3 has not been so far announced, Ben Mendelsohn's Danny Rayburn will continue as the central point in the family drama, spectral though his appearance may be on the show.

Kessler spoke of Danny's importance in "Bloodline," saying, "It feels like the DNA of the show is really informed by Danny's influence on his family, so that will always be there, either in death or being haunted by his memory."
