Bobbi Kristina Latest Condition News: Doctors Giving Up Hope, Lawyer Denies Marriage To Nick Gordon
Bobbi Kristina, the 21-year-old daughter of late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is still in a medically induced coma. Doctors treating her have told her family that there's little chance for a recovery.
Kristina, who was discovered on Jan. 31 lying face down in a tub in her home, has been transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
The doctors admitted that there is very little they can do for her as her brain function was "alarmingly low." They also told Bobbi Kristina's family that they have to make a decision soon "as to how long they want to keep her alive."
Members of Kristina's family, however, refused to give up hope that her condition will improve, with some of them claiming that she had shown signs of improvement since last week.
Meanwhile, Bobby Brown's lawyer Christopher Brown issued a statement saying Bobbi Kristina was never married to her supposed husband Nick Gordon, contrary to news reports.
Lawyers acting on behalf of Bobbi Kristina's estranged father also said they were checking the events that caused her to fall unconscious in the tub.
Gordon – who was present at their home when Kristina was discovered unconscious – has not commented on their alleged marriage.
Meanwhile, a friend of the couple, Maxwell Byron Lomas – who was in their home at the time – has surfaced and described the events that took place. Lomas said he was the one who found Bobbi Kristina in the tub, not Gordon, and he pulled her out, after which he dialed 911. It was then that Gordon came into the bathroom and started performing CPR on Bobbi Kristina with help from Lomas until the ambulance arrived.
Lomas was earlier described in news reports as a felon who had been arrested after he was caught in possession of drugs last month.
His lawyer Philip A. Holloway said he was also devastated by what happened to Bobbi Kristina whom he described as a friend.
