Bourne Movie 5 Cast Rumors: Matt Damon to Reprise Role for 5th Film
Jason Bourne will once more be given life by actor Matt Damon in the upcoming fifth instalment of the Bourne franchise.
From the spy thriller novel by renowned author Robert Ludlum, the Jason Bourne character became world famous, thanks to the scintillating portrayal by Damon.
Damon's close friend Matt Affleck was the first to mention in public that Damon will return as Jason Bourne while they were both being interviewed at E! News.
Damon later confirmed that he will be working once more with Director Paul Greengrass for the movie's fifth instalment. This will be the third time the two will be working together for the Bourne franchise.
Both the actor and the director had earlier stayed clear of doing another Bourne film. Greengrass had explained that he felt he had already exhausted his ideas for the franchise.
Damon, who played Bourne in the first three instalments of the franchise, didn't join the fourth one in 2012 ("The Bourne Legacy"). Instead, movie fans watched the spy adventures of CIA agent Aaron Cross, as played by Jeremy Renner.
With the latest instalment due out in 2016, and with the original director and actor tandem that made the Bourne franchise a force to reckon with at the box-office, fans of Jason Bourne will once again have cause to rejoice. Their favorite spy hero will finally be back!
