'Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare' news, updates: Latest patch feature changes in Zombies and Multiplayer mode; Game remains #1 in UK charts despite sales dip
A new update for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has been recently released, featuring various changes made to optimize players' gaming experience. Based on Infinity Ward's latest patch notes, the update primarily focuses on the multiplayer mode. It also makes some fixes and tweaks for the game's Zombies in Spaceland mode.
On the Zombies side, gamers can now see a splash screen after ranking up with any weapon of their choice. An exploit enabling weapons to be ranked up faster than intended has been removed, and solo players can no longer end their match if the Hoff is active. Meanwhile, on the multiplayer mode, the scorestreaks featured in Frontline mode now gives team score based on where a user is currently located.
Also, the Volk has been nerfed and does less damage at range. This means that it will have more recoil when aiming downward, and it will be less accurate when fired from the hip. Additionally, Rigs have been unlocked as they should when players open any of their packages.
The full list of changes from the PC patch can be viewed on Infinity Ward's post on Reddit or on Gamespot. More detailed patch notes for the PC version have been shared via Steam. This includes PC-only changes like the addition of an option that lets raw mouse input support.
On another related news, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" retains its top spot in the UK charts, landing at No.1 in this week's Top 40 Entertainment Softwares. According to Games Industry, the hit Activision game currently ranks first despite a 46 percent dip in sales. As a proof of its success, the game is also slowly closing in on Battlefield 1 to become the UK's No.1 shooter video game for 2016—even though some critics have noticed that it has taken far longer than usual.
