It was just a few weeks ago when LG announced that they are releasing a home appliance with technological-forward features, including the PJ9 speakers. All the details are expected to be revealed at the upcoming International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

LG stated that they are introducing a levitating speaker, called PJ9, which has the ability to float on the Levitation Station through its powerful electromagnets. It also features an impressive speaker that has a 360-degree capacity, therefore making it a multi-directional speaker.

Other features include a Dual Passive Radiator for delivering midrange tones and smooth, high-definition audio, making the device usable both at home or outdoors. The company made sure that the speaker is capable of delivering quality music even under sudden weather changes due to its IPX7 compliance.

As for its battery features, enthusiasts are currently talking about the ability of PJ9 to independently charge itself to its place. To put it simply, when the speaker already has low power, it will automatically go down to the Levitation Station to charge itself without having to pause or stop the music.

As for its design, The Verge described it as something that one may find in the hospital due to its off-white color. This is said to be different from other levitating speakers that look like UFOs or even clouds.

LG Home Entertainment Company president Brian Kwon said, "Our latest addition to our growing lineup of premium wireless audio devices is not only eye-catching but also communicates the message that LG is serious about bringing something different to the table."

"We are absolutely dedicated to exploring new concepts and to pioneering innovative designs for its advanced audio products for consumers around the world, and the PJ9 is the latest example of this commitment," he added.

Aside from PJ9, LG is also introducing their upcoming handsets, portable projector and more. CES 2017 is scheduled to begin on Jan. 3.
