'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 13 spoilers: Boden gets in trouble; Severide makes a life-changing decision
Boden (Eamonn Walker) finds himself in hot water when a superior goes after him on the upcoming episode of NBC's "Chicago Fire" season 5.
Titled "Trading in Scuttlebutt," next week's episode will see a new conflict in the firehouse. According to the official synopsis, truck and squad are summoned to the scene of a dangerous accident. Chief Boden makes a split-second decision, but a conflict arises when Chief Anderson (guest star Michael Hanrahan) learned that Boden got around him. Anderson is the incident commander whose firehouse was the first to respond to the call, and Boden's decision will stir up some trouble among the two houses.
Feeling his image was damaged after his authority was undercut, Anderson uses his rank to get back at Boden and the rest of the House 51 responders. Elsewhere, Severide (Taylor Kinney) contemplates about a major decision that could change his life. Brett (Kara Killmer) tries to make personal changes to improve herself, while Herrmann (David Eigenberg) does something good.
In the show's latest episode, Casey (Jesse Spencer) had a tough day at work when he was responding to a call about a burning building. He was forced to make a gut-wrenching decision on who to save from the establishment: a man pointing a gun at him while begging to be rescued, or a young kid and a woman. Casey decided to save the latter, but when he got back to save the male victim, he was nowhere to be found.
Episode 12 airs this week, and it will see the victim return and exact revenge on Casey. Because he is holding a dangerous grudge against Casey for not saving him first, the victim tracks him down at a grocery store and threatens his life.
The fifth season of "Chicago Fire" airs every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
