American action-drama television series "Chicago Fire" season 5 is nearing its air date and fans are already excited to catch new episodes. Luckily, spoilers are here to bring up the hype among followers of the series.

According to TV Guide, season 5 will be revealing a secret of one of the firefighters. Randy McHolland (Christian Stolte) has always been known to be just a guy who is into watching televisions and hanging out on his couch. This is how he earned his nickname, Mouch, which is a combination of man and couch. But fans will see a different side of him in the upcoming season.

Executive producer Michael Brandt divulged that Mouch is into writing and not just any kind of stuff but firehouse-based romance novels. Things will turn even more comical as Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) will find out about Mouch's secret talent.

She will be surprised about his pastime but will later on blackmail him to let her be his secret writing partner. Together, they will come up with a story. It is also revealed that Sylive is actually really "good at it," according to Brandt.

It is expected to be a cute plotline but not so cute for Trudy Platt (Amy Morton). Brandt will tease Platt that she has no idea of her husband's talent in writing. It's uncertain how she will react, especially about the part of Mouch working with Sylvie. She is expected to be unhappy about it.

Aside from Mouch's predicament, some drama will also revolve around Jimmy Borelli. He still has some issues with Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) and spoilers reveal that more of their fight will be covered in the fifth season. Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) will also be figuring out some things in their relationship.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 is expected to start airing on Oct. 11 but rumor has it that it has been moved to a different date. It's said to be delayed to 2017. Nothing has been confirmed yet though.
