'Chicago Med' season 2 episode 10 spoilers: Maggie's traumatizing past catches up to her; Dr. Halstead deals with uncooperative patient
Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) confronts her past when a police officer who previously arrested her is brought into the hospital on the upcoming episode of NBC's "Chicago Med" season 2.
Titled "Heart Matters," next week's episode will see Maggie facing a person who played a huge role in her past. According to the official synopsis, a previous arrest stirs up some trouble for Maggie when she finds out that the arresting officer is brought to Chicago Med after sustaining a serious injury. On the other hand, Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Charles' (Oliver Platt) heart transplant patient gets involved in a car crash, unraveling problems that could make her high-risk surgery more complicated.
Meanwhile, Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) must defend the actions they've made when explaining a patient's cause of death. Dr. Halstead is also tasked to deal with a patient who doesn't seem to be cooperative.
Back in season 1, Maggie was arrested by a Chicago P.D. officer named Kate Windham (Tiffany Oglesby) to protect the hospital policy that forbade forced blood draws. The nurse will be confronted with that not-so-great experience once again when the arresting officer gets rushed into the E.R. after a severe injury. To make matters worse, Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) thinks that Maggie should not be allowed to be part of the case because of her bad history with the patient. As expected, Maggie is not happy with Sharon's suggestion.
Tonight's episode of "Chicago Med" will be filled with appearances from "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D." characters. Since a police officer is involved in a case, Desk Sgt. Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) will be seen in the show to possibly conduct an investigation, along with Ambulance 61 paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer).
The second season of "Chicago Med" airs every Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
