Christian Hip Hop Artist Ciara Discusses Abstinence with NFL QB Russell Wilson

Christian hip hop artist Ciara recently discussed her decision to remain celibate while dating Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who is also Christian.

Ciara recently told Hollywood Access Live that she and Wilson will remain celibate until they get engaged, if they choose to do so.

"It's until the deal is sealed! Absolutely," she said on Hollywood Access Live this week.

The well-known musical artist went on to say that although she and her athlete boyfriend have made a promise to remain celibate, they do admit that remaining chaste is difficult at times.

"I think both of us look at each other and we're like – whew! But we take it one day at a time and keep it going with each other, and I'm really enjoying every day that we're sharing," Ciara said.

Ciara added to hosts Kit Hoover and Dave Karger that she believes Wilson's request to remain celibate was "an organic thing for him and I think he was just being honest about where we are."

Wilson has also shared his input on the couple's decision to remain celibate until marriage, saying during a Q&A session at The Rock Church in San Diego, California that he asked Ciara if she would like to remain celibate with him while she was on tour.

"I told her right then and there. What would you do if we took all that extra stuff off the table and just do it Jesus' way … because if you can really love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody,'" Wilson recalled telling his girlfriend at the time.
