Christian Model Lauren Scruggs Marries Jason Kennedy In Texas Ceremony

Christian model Lauren Scruggs celebrated her wedding to television host Jason Kennedy this weekend in Texas, sharing their first wedding photo with the public.

The couple shared a photo of themselves as newlyweds with several media outlets following their nuptials on Friday at the Four Seasons hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Scruggs, 26, was photographed wearing a strapless white gown by local designer Romona Keveža, while Kennedy wore a tuxedo by Tom Ford. The bridal party wore grey and black accents.

Both Kennedy and Scruggs have expressed their deep Christian faith and their belief that they were matched together by God. Scruggs lost her left eye and part of her left arm back in 2011 when she accidentally walked into a plane propeller after viewing Christmas lights from a propeller plane.

The couple met when Scruggs did an interview with Giuliana Rancic for E! News following her recovery from the incident, and Kennedy's fellow E! host reportedly played matchmaker between the two.

"She was like, ' I think you should meet Jason Kennedy,' " Scruggs recalled to People magazine. "I didn't know who he was. But she told me that he had this amazing Bible study in Los Angeles and had great friends. She texted Jason and asked if he was going to be on set. When I was asking Giuliana about places to go hiking, she told me, 'Just ask Jason places to go. He hikes all the time.' "

Kennedy has previously gushed about his married to Scruggs, telling E! News: "God has blessed me with somebody I've been waiting for my whole life. Lauren changed everything for me and I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with her."
