'Clash of Clans' update: first Clashmas present drops
With Christmas in the air, Supercell is doubling down on holiday gifts and updates for players for its hit mobile MMO strategy video game, "Clash of Clans."
For the first day of Clashmas, the developer is giving players the unique chance of blowing up the armies and the town halls of the enemies. Supercell is formally calling it the Santa's Surprise.
These explosives come from the sky brought by Santa and his reindeers in the form of presents. "Give enemies the gift of total damage with Santa's Surprise," Supercell urges.
This should make it easier for "Clash of Clans" players to beat their opponents, but it at the same time puts them in the same peril. Either way, it should make things extra exciting for the holidays.
The Santa's Surprise gift for Clashmas can be accessible up to Jan. 5. It should be followed up with a couple more in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Supercell is also doing Santa's Surprise Spell for "Clash of Clans," a spell made especially for Christmas and will only be available for a limited time.
Since Christmas is also all about giving, this spell will allow players to actually give gifts to their fellow players, unlike the abovementioned one.
"I am told that dropping this temporary Clashmas spell on an enemy village will leave them with Clashmas presents that they can choose to keep as a souvenir, or open to get elixir," Supercell detailed on the "Clash of Clans" forums.
"Since this season has a spirit of giving, I pledge to drop at least one Santa's Surprise Spell on an enemy village's fringe. Anyone want to join me and pay it forward with this one chance to give to your enemy?" they added.
More Clashmas gifts for "Clash of Clans" players should arrive soon so fans would like to keep their eyes peeled for them.
