'Clash of Clans' update, latest news: Friendly Wars, Bomb Tower, new defense levels
"Clash of Clans" may have been around for awhile but it's still one of the most played games. In fact, many of its fans have been clamoring for updates for the mobile strategy video game.
Fortunately, developer Supercell listened to its gamers and released an update. According to reports, Supercell added a feature called Friendly Wars, which allows gamers to compete in wars for fun. To take part in the Friendly Wars challenge, gamers need to look for a clan and invite them to a challenge by clicking on the provided button.
The clan then decides if they want to accept the Friendly Wars challenge or not. Moreover, the challenging clan can choose to develop a war that is in accordance to their preference. This means that they can set their own duration and select a size before issuing a challenge.
The Friendly Wars feature can last up to one hour while the size can go from five versus five to 50 versus 50. Gamers have to take note though that the new addition to the game does not come with rewards. There are no incentives for users with war loot or Clan XP.
Aside from the Friendly Wars, the update has also brought along with it other new content such as a Bomb Tower at Town Hall 8. There's also the inclusion of new troop levels: Dragon, Baby Dragon and Wizard.
Players can also expect a lot of upgrade costs and reduced time, as well as rebalancing, including Witch and Skeleton Spell buffs. There are also new defense levels which include X-Bow, Mortar and Hidden Tesla. The update also came with some modifications in the army training, Clash Friends and in the friendly challenge features.
Reports also detailed that the update now permits players to gain a partial War Win Bonus which they can obtain regardless if their attack succeeds or not. But it's noted that the War Win Bonuses does not decrease whenever a lower Town Hall level is attacked by a player.
