Criminal Minds Season 10 Release Date, Cast Spoilers: Plot Will See New Villain Revealed
It is official — Criminal Minds Season 10 is to hit TV screens this coming October 1. The show is known to replace cast members every season so fans are expecting new cast members to join the team this season 10.
With the premiere episode of the new season just around the corner, you no longer have to wonder who will be filling the new seats.
CBS has officially announced that Jennifer Love Hewitt will be joining Criminal Minds as a regular cast, which is a major scoop for the show.
Just last week, Shemar Moore (plays Derek Morgan) shared a Facebook photo featuring the cast of the 10th season, which included Thomas Gibson (Aaron Hotchner), A.J. Cook (JJ), Joe Mantega (David Rossi), Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid), Jennifer Love Hewitt (Kate Callahan) and Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope Garcia), Air Herald reports.
The pilot episode of Season 10 will be airing on CBS Wednesday, October 1.
The synopsis for Season 10 Episode 2 reads, "A series of abductions and murders in Seattle send the BAU seeking an UnSub who was abused in the past and is out for revenge. Meanwhile, Garcia heads to Texas to confront the man she shot while defending Reid and herself, as he waits on Death Row."
Executive Producer Erica Messer told TV Guide about a long-term villain who will be joining the show as well. Of course, she did not reveal the villain's identity.
"You see that there is a bigger thing going on. It'll be a big case we touch on again midway through the season ...We have our own little shortcut in the [writer's] room [when it comes to a name], but we haven't landed on anything yet to put it out there," Messer said.
