'Dance Moms' season 7 cast news and rumors: Nia Sioux to quit show?
"Dance Moms" season 6 has been through a number of setbacks particularly with the departure of Abby Lee Miller's prized talents. Dance prodigy Maddie Ziegler along with her sister, Mackenzie, caused a major upset to the hit reality show when they officially cut their ties with the Abby Lee Dance Company. Their dramatic exit seemed to have created ripples of dissatisfaction in the ADLC roster. The Zieglers' off-the-show opportunities also seem to have lured others to follow their footsteps. The same thing happened to Nia Sioux and she may have called it quits in a recent interview.
For some, Nia's recent career move isn't too surprising. After all, there were previous instances on the show when her mother got caught up in serious arguments with Miller. Nia's mother, Holly Hatcher-Frazier, felt that the ALDC head coach deprived her daughter of the rightful share of exposure and opportunities that only a few of Miller's students enjoyed.
Per interview with OK! Magazine, the young dancer dropped hints of her possible departure after landing a Broadway gig. After all, a number of the show's celebrated alumni like Chloe Lukasiak and Maddie Ziegler seemed to have prospered in their respective post-ALDC careers.
"I have a lot right now that's in the works and a lot of doors that are opening, and I just wanna take advantage of all the opportunities. So, I think I'm just gonna have to wait and see," Nia said in the OK! Magazine exclusive.
While Nia did not exactly say that she's leaving, her intriguing interview statement is fueling wave of speculations. As the show deals with the loss of its original cast, Miller's dance company is in a relentless effort to rebuild a once glorious talent roster. In a recent interview, "Dance Moms" choreographer Gianna Martello reveals that Maddie Ziegler's successor is currently in the making – she's referring to Brynn Rumfallo.
"Brynn is an amazing addition to the team. She's very versatile and we needed a new strong team member," said Martello in a Bustle interview exclusive.
