Monday night's broadcast of "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 featured a number of surprising announcements.

While viewers were shocked by the announcement that two couples were to be eliminated on Tuesday night, they were left stunned when dancing pro Sasha Farber proposed on air to his girlfriend, Emma Slater.

Slater and her dance partner, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, were eliminated from the competition last week. Farber and his partner, "Little Women: LA" star Terra Jolé, are still competing.

On Monday, Slater and Farber took to the stage to perform a contemporary routine to the Bruno Mars song "Just the Way You Are." After their performance, "Dancing with the Stars" co-host Tom Bergeron told Farber that he had always thought the pro would make a good host. After Bergeron turned the show over to him, Farber got down on one knee and told Slater, "Baby, I've wanted to do this for such a long time."

"I love you so, so much. Will you marry me?," he said.

Slater responded with a "yes." The streamers came down, the crowd cheered and the contestants rushed to congratulate the newly engaged couple.

"I will never forget this moment, the best day of my life," Slater wrote in an Instagram post.

Meanwhile, the body shaming fiasco between "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Amber Rose and judge Julianne Hough is finally over.

Following her Argentine tango this week, Bergeron asked Rose if she and Hough had been able to talk about their misunderstanding, which stemmed from a comment Hough made while watching Rose perform a salsa the previous week.

"[I]f I misunderstood, then I apologize," Rose said to VH1. "I'm a very positive person, I don't like to argue or bicker or make things weird," she added.

Hough clarified that her role is to judge the contestants on their dancing alone and that she was in no way bodyshaming Rose. "That is not who I am, and I'm sorry if that made you feel that way," she said.

"Dancing with the Stars" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
