Fans know that prison will not stop Wilson Fisk also known as (Vincent D'Onofrio) from wreaking havoc in Hell's Kitchen, but the question is he will do so in "Daredevil" season 3.

The actor recently interacted with fans on Twitter, one of whom asked him about the development of his role in the upcoming season.

He provided no answer and simply said "Who says I'm in season 3? You know something." In another tweet, he proceeded to praise the show for starting "a new way of watching superhero stories."

D'Onofrio has been asked on more than one occasion about Kingpin's return in "Daredevil." He implied in an interview with IGN that the character's comic book history would give sense to a comeback, but he keeps his cards close to his chest about everything else.

"That's probably not finished, that whole deal when it comes to Fisk. But when and where and how is not something I can talk about," the actor said.

"I know that there's ... anybody that knows the whole Daredevil and Punisher series, they know that there's a lot of Fisk in there," he continued.

In an interview with Latino Review, he said that he knows what's next for his character, but he will keep that to himself for now.

It is looking like the show is not over with Kingpin just yet. It is, however, a mystery if fans will see him in "Daredevil" season 3. For now, fans know that when the villain gets out of prison, he plans to take over Hell's Kitchen once more.

It also remains to be seen how Kingpin's return will take place. With the "Defenders" mini-series and "The Punisher" spinoff in the works, the character's connection there could easily bring D'Onofrio to these shows.

For now, it looks like fans will have to wait what is in store for Fisk. "Daredevil" season 3 will premiere on Netflix in 2018.
