Gru (Steve Carrell) and the three girls he adopted are set to come back for the third "Despicable Me" movie, which slated for release on June 30. A new trailer featuring Gru's twin brother has also dropped recently.

The plot will revolve around Gru who is contemplating about returning to a life of crime after he was fired from his job so that he can provide more for his family. This idea strengthened when he meets Dru (also voiced by Steve Carrell), his long-lost twin brother, with whom he felt instant sibling rivalry with because the latter is endowed with both money and hair. Dru will attempt to convince him to join him in a heist, saying that it is "in his blood." The trailer showed that even the Minions will join in the act of getting Gru to go back to his villainous ways.

Gru will also be facing Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), a former child star who turned into an '80s-themed supervillain. He wants to take over the world, and his anger is rooted on being fired from his show when he hit puberty. In the trailer, Gru accidentally lets him escape, which led to him being fired from the Anti-Villain League. According to the film's synopsis, Balthazar Bratt will be the most formidable opponent Gru will be facing to date.

Aside from Steve Carrell, Kristen Wiig will also be returning as Lucy Wilde, an Anti-Villain League agent, who is also Gru's wife, Miranda Cosgrove as Margo, and Dana Gaier as Edith. Russell Brand will also reprise his role as Dr. Nefario. Nev Scharell will be replacing Elsie Fischer as Agnes.

"Despicable Me 3" will be directed by Pierre Coffin and Kylie Balda, who replaced Chris Renaud. However, Renaud will stay on board as the executive producer. The script, meanwhile, was written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. The film is produced by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.
