Although many gamers have "Destiny 2" to look forward to, those who continue to support the original game are also excited about new content for the current game.

One of the much-awaited events in the near future is the Crimson Days — an event held during Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, there won't be one this year as the Bungie Live Team opted to do something else entirely.

"Crimson Days will not be making a return this year. We enjoyed adding some gunfire to your date night, but we have other plans," the team wrote in its latest weekly update.

"Instead, we're dedicating our efforts to delivering different things for you to play," they went on to say. The Bungie Live Team promised to reveal more details soon about this next "Destiny 2" update.

"The exact release date is to-be-determined. The full notes on fixes and changes are to-be-revealed," they said, although they hinted a possible "springtime" outing.

With regard to "Destiny 2," Bungie is keeping information about it under wraps although leaks involving the highly anticipated title continue to drop.

As revealed in the past, "Destiny 2" will be a clean slate and will pretty much be a reboot with new characters and locations. However, details from a Reddit user who claims to know a Bungie employee says otherwise.

"They are not completely rebooting our characters — My source described it as a 'clean slate,' but not a full wipe. Apparently our 'Guardian' will still retain their memories, accomplishments, etc up to this point, but we will NOT have any carry over gear/weapons/items," he said.

The Redditor also claimed that Xur will play a new role in the overarching story instead of just popping in and out of the game.

He also added that there will be three new subclasses and that the existing classes are going to be "fully reworked" for "Destiny 2" to add new perks, abilities and visual effects.

Finally, he also claims that while "Destiny 2" is slated for a fall release, it might end up being delayed to first quarter of 2018.

With no information to corroborate this yet, readers are advised to take this with a pinch of salt.
