'Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition' Release Date, Spoilers: 3 Old Characters Returning; Game Launch June 2015
Three old characters are being brought to life in the upcoming "Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition," which is due to launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 18.
The three additional characters will now boost the game's roster. One of them is Dante's twin brother Vergil. The other two returning characters are Trish and Lady.
Trish was last featured in "Devil May Cry 2" as a playable character that was also present in the first installment of the game. Lady, however, has never been a playable character. Hence, gamers will get to experience her moves and weapons for the first time. She is set to appear when Nero is running missions. Her weapon of choice is the Kalina Ann, which incorporates a grappling hook. As for Lady's specialty, it lies in combat with firearms aside from being an expert in long range moves.
The arrival of Vergil is getting most of the buzz. He is said to be a combination of the characters that appeared in "Devil May Cry" and "Devil May Cry 3," and he is going to have a whole new move set.
The upcoming version of Vergil is also being described as the "definitive" version of the character. He will have a brand-new "concentration" mechanism designed to make his attacks both powerful and flawless. As for his weapon of choice, it is going to be a sword as Vergil has long been a master of the iaijutsu fighting style.
Capcom recently released a number of screenshots for the three characters in "Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition." The screenshots displayed Dante and some his moves.
But it was evident that the focus would be on the new characters being added.
The PC version of the game is set for launching on June 24 following the release of the game's console versions.
