'DiRT 4' release date, news, features: Title to have special edition, Day One edition; title features new stage creation system

The sixth installment of the "DiRT" franchise will be introduced into the market with two exciting deals. Meanwhile, the title has a new feature where gamers can create and customize their own rally stages.

Developed by Codemasters, "DiRT 4" is a rally racing video that will hit the market this coming June. Made available on PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One, "DiRT 4" will be launched with a special edition and a day one edition, according to Codemasters.

Gamespot confirmed that "DiRT 4" Day One Edition will include the base game, a special Founder icon, and an exclusive Hyundai R5 that also comes with an exclusive Hyundai Event that will happen on June 9, 10, and 11.

The "DiRT 4" Special Edition, while a GAME-exclusive in the U.K., will also have ones mentioned in the day one edition with an additional Team Booster Pack. The Team Booster Pack will have a "unique team offer, staff, and facilities bonuses."

The special edition can either be bought in a standard case or in a steelbook, but the latter is only being sold at select stores.

"DiRT 4" has also been confirmed to have a "create your own stage" feature called Your Stage. The Codemasters released a trailer featuring game developers and rally drivers explaining what the Your Stage feature is.

"Your Stage is something that we have been working on since the launch of 'DiRT 3' in 2011. It allows players to generate an almost infinite variety of stages at all of the rally locations in 'DiRT 4.' It's a revelation as now our players will get the thrill of driving a new stage whenever they want," chief game designer Paul Coleman teased.

It is also important to note that the Your Stage can help players create new challenging stages for them to engage in based on their specifications.

"DiRT 4" is anticipated to launch on June 9, 2017.
