'Dishonored 2' release date, news and updates: New video explains the narrative of the game
Bethesda is currently focusing on the release of "Dishonored 2" and a new video has been released that will explain the narrative of the game.
The video is titled "The Book of Karnaca" and it gives more background on the two main protagonists of the game as well as the villain. The players will be going up against a witch named Delilah who has taken the throne of Karnaca for herself. Players will have to take control of the rightful Empress, Emily Kaldwin, and try to get her back in control of the Kingdom.
Aside from using Emily, players can also take control of Corvo Attano, a mask-wearing assassin who has mentored Emily since she was a child. Both of them have supernatural abilities that allow them to perform swift assassinations like teleporting and the use of different magic attacks.
The game also looks to introduce new minions for Delilah which are mechanical soldiers with a steam-punk vibe. Just recently, Bethesda released a live-action trailer for the game, and it has Corvo and Emily going against the robotic forces of Delilah as well as the royal guards and soldiers.
"Dishonored 2" is said to take place 15 years after the first game, and it will have the players roaming the island of Serkonos in Karnaca.
The game will also see the return of The Outsider from the first game, and interestingly enough, he will be voiced by "Gotham's" Robin Lord Taylor. Some fans have pointed out their disdain for the choice in the voice actor as Taylor's voice makes the character sound like a teenager — as opposed to The Outsider in the original game who was supposed to be mysterious and terrifying.
Players will have to help take back the kingdom when "Dishonored 2" releases on Friday, Nov. 11.
